Andreas BusingerChief Executive Officer

Andreas graduated with a Masters Degree in Economics & Business Administration at the University of Zurich and subsequently post-graduated with a European Finance & Investment Expert Diploma (equivalent to CFA) at the Swiss Training Centre for Investment Professionals (AZEK). In 1994 Andreas started his business career at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Zurich as an internal trainer for Credit Suisse Investment Funds. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Head of the Fund Training Department in 1996. Following this, he took over the Department ‘Product Management Investment Funds’ where he was responsible for the worldwide Investment Fund business of Credit Suisse Private Banking. After his promotion to Vice President in 1999, he became a Senior Relationship Manager at Credit Suisse Private Banking in Gibraltar where he was responsible for the business with institutional clients. Andreas joined Turicum Private Bank in 2003 as a Senior Investment Manager and member of the management team of the Bank. He established the Bank’s Representative Office in Zurich and expanded Turicum’s Investment Fund business. Andreas holds a Company Manager license issued by the GFSC in relation to the provision of directorships to Experienced Investor Funds. Since 2013, Andreas is Turicum Private Bank’s CEO.

Dr Benjamin Moss Chief Legal Officer & Deputy CEO

Ben joined Turicum in 2003 after successfully completing both English and French Law degrees from the Universities of Kent and Paris and a Masters in Commercial Law and Finance from the University of Nottingham. He furthered his academic interest by becoming a PhD law graduate with research focussing on financial regulatory reform and systemic risk. He is responsible for the Legal function of the Bank with a focus on strategic projects and critical issues.

Tyrone VinetChief Operating Officer

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Southampton in 1995, Tyrone returned to Gibraltar to commence a career in the fast growing local Banking and Finance sector. In 2000 Tyrone completed a second degree in Financial Services from the University of Manchester and became a Chartered Associate member of the London Institute of Banking & Finance. Tyrone has a comprehensive and varied professional experience in the Gibraltar financial services sector. Following graduation, he worked for several years at the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission as a Manager of the department of Fiduciary and Investment Services Supervision. In 2007, Tyrone moved into the private sector and joined Credit Suisse Gibraltar as the Senior Legal and Compliance Officer. He joined SG Hambros Bank in 2014 as the Director of Control and Support Functions. In his current capacity as Chief Operating Officer, Tyrone is a member of the Senior Management team and has overall responsibility for the Front Office Support Functions, including policy development across the Bank and assisting teams in developing a sound framework of systems, controls and Management Information, commensurate to the business undertaken. Other duties include legislative implementation, maintenance and tracking of the Bank’s Issues log.

Dimitri AdamChief Financial Officer

Dimitri joined Turicum Private Bank in 2015 with over 13 years of accounting experience from varied sectors. In 2001 Dimitri completed his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in France. Subsequently Dimitri began his career providing management accounting to Parisian companies before expanding his experience and knowledge to the Insurance sector in the City of London. In 2007, Dimitri, in search of new challenges moved his career to Gibraltar’s growing and vibrant Online Gaming industry. To further his studies, Dimitri has achieved the UK ACCA qualification and became a fully qualified accountant in 2016. His keen interest in IT and new technology has helped him implement technologically efficient processes at the Bank.

Paul BarkerChief Technology Officer

Paul joined Turicum Private Bank in 2014. He started his career 13 years ago, supporting multi national companies such as Goodyear and Caterpillar in the UK. He has gained accreditations from Cisco, Citrix, and as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. After 9 Years in the Gaming Industry in Gibraltar working in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering roles, he takes up the role of IT Manager with Turicum driving the Banks Information Technology strategy forward whilst maintaining the highest security standards.

Michael CubyChief Investment Officer and Treasury Manager

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree with honours from Kings College London, Michael worked for five years in the City of London, initially as an Analyst, promoted to Head Analyst and subsequently Trader. In 2007 Michael completed his Masters in Finance from London Business School and gained FSA qualification with the Investment Managers Certificate (IMC). Michael proceeded to work for Schroders Private Bank, launching and managing the Gibraltar representative office in 2007. In 2009, Michael joined Credit Suisse Gibraltar as Senior Relationship Manager where he worked closely with management to develop and manage the Community Banking desk, receiving special accolade for executing 'One Bank' deals. In 2013, Michael joined Turicum Private Bank as Deputy CIO & Senior Relationship Manager with responsibility over the Investment Committee, Portfolio Management and Investment Advisory platform. As Treasury Manager, Michael has direct oversight and management of the Bank’s Capital and Treasury.

Lucas FernandezHead of Front Office & Business Development

Lucas began his Private Banking career in 1993 at UBS in Switzerland as Relationship Manager responsible for domestic and international HNWI clients. In 2000 he moved to Credit Suisse in Gibraltar as Investment Consultant to subsequently head its Investment Office, overseeing the range of multi asset class discretionary mandates and the advisory offering. Lucas joined Lombard Odier & Cie in Gibraltar in 2011 to lead its External Asset Managers department before joining Turicum Private Bank in 2018 as Head of our Front Office and Business Development. Lucas holds a Master’s Degree in Economics & Business Administration from the University of Neuchâtel, the Swiss Advanced Federal Diploma “Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager” and the European “EFFAS Certified European Financial Analyst” Diploma. He also successfully attended the “Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme” from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. He is a member of the Swiss Financial Analysts Association.

Marzia ManconiHead of Compliance, Risk and Ethics

Marzia joined the Compliance Team at Turicum Private Bank in January 2018. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a post-graduate degree in International Relations from the University of Pavia, in Italy, she then moved to the UK where she successfully completed an LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights at the University of Warwick. Marzia spent the first few years after university working in the non-profit sector in London, covering different roles including executive support to the senior management team, change management programmes, internal communications and staff engagement. Since moving to Gibraltar in 2016, Marzia has worked in Compliance roles in the Financial Services and Banking sector. In June 2017 she completed the International Compliance Association (ICA) Anti Money Laundering Certificate and in September 2020 she completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) International Certificate in Investments and Wealth Management. She has also been attending a range of training courses with the UK Chartered Banker Institute and the UK Institute of Risk Management (IRM). After becoming Legal and Risk Manager in 2020, Marzia was then promoted to Head of Compliance, Risk and Ethics in 2023.

Silvia Fortes GrimaldiSenior Relationship Manager

In the last 20 years Silvia has gained a wealth of experience within the Private Banking sector. After graduating with a degree in Ciencias Empresariales & Economicas at the University of Granada, Silvia began her banking career with Banco Atlantico Gibraltar in 1994. In 1998 Silvia joined Credit Agricole Indosuez as a Relationship Manager and continued providing for her clients at SG Hambros when she joined in 2003. Silvia became a Premier Relationship Manager at Barclays in 2007 before joining Turicum Private Bank at the start of 2014 as a Senior Relationship Manager. Silvia is developing both the local and international markets, identifying business opportunities, whilst managing her portfolio of high net worth clients.

Kevin CasciaroSenior Relationship Manager

Kevin has considerable banking experience spanning over 28 years where he worked at Barclays Wealth International. During this time he held roles in Relationship Management and more recently the position of Chartered Financial Advisor for high net worth individuals and institutional investors. Kevin joined Turicum Private Bank in March 2014 as Senior Relationship Manager and focuses on building strong relationships with the Bank’s high net worth clients and identifying new business opportunities within the local and international market. Kevin holds the Investments Management certificate (IMC) and Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM, level 6). He is also a member of the Life Insurance Association and Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Yves GastSenior Relationship Manager

In 1994 Yves started his career at Credit Suisse through their apprenticeship scheme. After 15 years of experience at Credit Suisse, including more than 8 years as a Relationship Manager (within this, more than 5 years as Assistant Vice President) in the Private Banking Department, Yves decided to join Turicum Private Bank in 2011 where he aims to focus on developing the Jewish Community Desk. His network in Israel and in the communities in Europe has helped him achieve this ambitious target as he continuous to develop his client portfolio.

Derek BagliettoSenior Relationship Manager

Derek Baglietto focuses on the Institutional and Fintech / Crypto desk of the Bank. He is part of the Executive Committee of the Gibraltar Funds and Investment Association (GFIA). He studied Blockchain Strategy in the SAID business School, University of Oxford and is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers "ACIB", with further studies under the Securities Institute and CISI focusing on Fund Management and Investment Analysis. He was employed in Credit Suisse Private Banking as Vice President for 23 years, gaining wide experience in various areas including Credit, Financial Control, Portfolio Management, Investment Consultant, and Heading the Front Office support team. From 2006 he was Heading the Institutional clients team in the External Asset Managers and Fund team. Derek joined Turicum in 2016 and focused on developing the Institutional Offering, providing international and local External Asset Managers, Fund Managers and other Intermediaries with solutions for their clients. In addition the desk has expanded into the Fintech sector where services are provided to companies and individuals in the space including those working with Digital Assets.

Sandra GarciaSenior Relationship Manager

After completing her education with a BA in Economics from the University of Sevilla (Spain) and an MA in Economics from De Montfort University in Milton Keynes (UK), Sandra decided to focus her career in the financial sector. She is furthermore qualified with a level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM). Sandra has over 20 years experience in Private Banking in Gibraltar, beginning at Credit Agricole Indosuez. In 2003 she joined SG Hambros where she continued to expand her client base in various market segments. In 2017 Sandra became a valued member of Turicum Private Bank’s front office specializing in International clients. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French and has ample experience in dealing with High Net Worth Individuals of every background. Within Turicum, Sandra forms part of the Institutional Team and in addition to Private Clients, she also handles Asset Managers, Funds and Fintech Clients.

Manuel OstheiderSenior Relationship Manager

Manuel graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Bielefeld, Germany and has completed his Masters in Wealth Management with the CISI. He started his career in the finance sector at an asset manager in Gibraltar as an Assistant Portfolio Manager. From there Manuel moved on to Lloyds TSB Private Banking as Senior Relationship Manager, a position he held for over 8 years. He subsequently spent 3 years at SG Hambros Bank before joining the External Asset Managers department of Lombard Odier. Manuel joined the Institutional Desk at Turicum in 2018. With over 14 years of banking experience, Manuel has served the cross section of clients including private, institutional as well as external asset managers.

Keegan ZarbSenior Relationship Manager

Keegan joined Turicum in 2016 after 19 years working in Gibraltar Private Banking sector, 13 of which has been as a Relationship Manager for Institutional clients. After completing a Business & Finance diploma in 1997 Keegan started his Private Banking career with Hispano Commerzbank where he spent four years at the bank's Treasury division. He joined Lombard Odier's Operations team in September 2001 focusing on security settlements and corporate actions. In 2003 Keegan was promoted to Relationship Manager for Institutional clients where he remained until 2010. In December 2010 he was offered the opportunity to join Credit Suisse where he was a core member of the Institutional team. Keegan enjoyed a successful five years including a promotion to Assistant Vice President, until following a global strategic review the bank decided to exit the Gibraltar booking centre. As a Senior Relationship Manager with a sound knowledge of the Institutional business Keegan focuses on the acquisition, development and servicing of FinTech clients, licensed Wealth and Asset Managers under third party investment agreements or Fund structures, offering a highly professional tailored service. Keegan is a Blockchain enthusiast and in 2018 completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme offered by the University of Oxford. In 2019 he achieved the International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management offered by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Stephen EcclestonSenior Relationship Manager

Stephen joined Turicum in 2020, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in Gibraltar’s robust banking sector. Stephen began his working career in the UK Armed Forces moving on to the Royal Gibraltar Police, before finally stepping into finance with the RBSI group in 2001. He followed this with time at Natwest and Barclays, where as an Investment Advisor he attained the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM Level 6) qualification. In 2013, Stephen joined the SG group with SG Kleinwort Hambros in Gibraltar. As a Senior Private Banker he advised clients on investments and following qualifying with CeMap certification he assisted clients in the area of mortgages and lending. Stephen is a Senior Relationship Manager with a focus on delivering a superior service to High Net Worth Individuals whilst working with his extensive network (both locally & internationally) to develop further business opportunities. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Marlene CarvalhoRelationship Manager

Marlene started her career in the Private Banking Sector as a Customer Services Representative in the Royal Bank of Scotland International in Jersey (Channel Islands). From there she moved to Royal Bank of Canada as a Settlement and Trade Capture Administrator. In 2008 Marlene relocated to Gibraltar and joined Credit Suisse Gibraltar as an Investment Administrator processing all securities related transactions. Subsequently she worked as Investment Manager in Velay Financial Services moving then to Lombard Odier as a Relationship Manager dealing with External Asset Managers. In 2018 Marlene moved to Turicum Private Bank bringing with her over 13 years of experience in the Finance Sector.

Michael CataniaRelationship Manager

Michael joined Turicum following 20 years of banking experience, both in the private and retail environments. He began his career with SG Hambros Bank, where he spent 12 years working his way through most departments at the bank. His focus was mainly with the bank’s Treasury and Investments Team, as well as spending some years assisting Relationship Managers with their personal and corporate clients. In 2014, Michael turned his attention to retail banking, when he joined Gibraltar International Bank – he was part of the 1st staff intake employed to get the bank up and running following its creation. Here, Michael worked as a Relationship Manager, concentrating on the intermediary business, as well as entertaining funds and the blockchain sector. He also qualified as a Mortgage Advisor (CeMAP) during his time at the bank. At Turicum, Michael forms part of the Institutional Team, dealing with External Asset Managers, Fund Managers and other Intermediaries.

Thomas SeilerBusiness Support Officer

Thomas joined Turicum Private Bank in 2012. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Cologne, Germany. In addition, he has been awarded with the International Diploma in Compliance from the International Compliance Association and the International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Prior to joining Turicum Private Bank, Thomas worked amongst others in sales & marketing positions at Dresdner Bank AG, Fimatex S.A. (affiliated company of Société Générale S.A.), IS Teledata AG (affiliated company of Interactive Data Corporation) and most recently in Compliance at a Gibraltar based investment management company.

Gillaine has been an integral part of the development and growth of Turicum having joined the Bank in 1998. From an early stage Gillaine took responsibility for the Back Office functions and headed the department for some time before moving to assist in the growth of the Finance Department. Currently she manages key Finance responsibilities, assisting the Finance Director, and is undergoing certification as an Accountant Technician (CAT). Gillaine joined the Bank with over 10 years banking experience at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Gibraltar (BBVA) in Credit & Customer Service roles.

Sundra joined Turicum Private Bank in 2017 with a wealth of Banking experience. After working 34 years at Barclays Bank, Sundra covered numerous roles in Retail and Corporate Banking ranging from Personal Banker to Senior Account Executive and Small Business Relationship Manager. At Turicum Sundra is part of our Front Office Support Team providing key support functions to all of our clients.

Gareth joined Turicum Private Bank in May 2022. He previously worked for the last 10 years for Bassadone Motors in two different roles. At Bassadone Automotive Finance where he was processing customer loan applications and running the company’s social media pages, and then as a Sales Executive on the showroom floor, dealing with customer’s needs in purchasing their car. Gareth brings to the role, excellent customer service skills and an understanding of social media marketing.

In 2007 Calyn Chiappe graduated with a BA Hons degree in Business and Financial Services. She began her career in banking with Credit Suisse Gibraltar Limited where, over the course of 10 years, Calyn has gained firm knowledge of various operational and front office roles. Amongst them, she has had key responsibilities in the Securities Department, Investment and Portfolio Management and Front Office. Calyn has always been a contributing team player and in previous roles has created training and user manuals for various banking policies and procedures. Calyn has experience in client facing roles across the board, having directly serviced private clients, external asset managers and professional funds. In November 2016 she joined Turicum Private Bank and continues to work with clients with a focus on institutional and professional clients.

In 2007 Irene graduated from the University of Malaga (Spain) with a degree in Tourism. She joined Turicum Private Bank in the summer of 2013 having previously worked in the Finance and Administration Department at a prestigious five star hotel in Spain. In addition to her role as Administration Officer, Irene is also responsible for organising the Bank's Marketing, including client and internal events.

Senior Compliance Analyst
Susana joined Turicum in November 2017 as a Compliance Administrator, with nearly 30 years’ experience in the Banking, Legal and Property Development sectors between London, Southern Spain and Gibraltar. She joined Barclays Bank Gibraltar in January 2012 as a Personal Banker and played an active role in the bank’s Gibraltar exit project. In 2015 and upon closure of the branch, Susana joined STM Gibraltar as the Liaison Officer Assistant and was transferred to the Compliance Department in 2016, achieving the International Compliance Association (ICA) Anti-Money Laundering Certificate (Distinction) the following year.

Isa has over 15 years of experience focussed in the financial services sector. She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Granada University as well as the CISI International Certificate in Financial Advice. Isa began her career in 2004 working at various Hedge Funds and Private Equity firms abroad. In 2008 she furthered her career and joined Gibraltar Asset Management as Compliance Officer and appointed MLRO. Isa is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and in April 2018 she joined Turicum as Senior Compliance Analyst bringing with here a wealth of experience.

Carmen RuizFOS Compliance

Carmen started in the finance industry back in 2007, initially as Customer Service Advisor for the Leeds Building Society Gibraltar branch and working her way through various senior positions. After gaining a taste for the banking world, she developed a sound understanding of investments, and mortgages. In 2010 she acquired her CeMap qualification (Certificate of Mortgage Advise and Practise) and moved to Assistant Manager. After further development in compliance and anti-money laundering knowledge, she moved to Operations Manager in 2013. Carmen now has nearly 15 years of experience in the retails financial sector and has decided to work on further development in the Private Banking world. Carmen joined Turicum in March 2021 looking to make use of her mortgage background as Credit Officer within the dedicated Credit department. She has now moved over to Front Office Support Compliance Department as Compliance Analyst.

Paul BraileyTechnical Project Manager

In 2003, Paul graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the university of Birmingham. Following several engineering roles in the UK, Paul took a career change in 2008 and joined Gibraltar Asset Management (GAM) as a trainee stockbroker and investment manager. In 2012, he was promoted to Chairman. For more than a decade working at GAM he built up a wealth of knowledge and experience from his involvement in all aspects of the business including Investment management, Advising on investments, Customer trading, Compliance, Business operations and Systems development. In 2022, Paul joined Turicum as Technical Project Manager. Paul is a Chartered Member of the CISI.

Rafia joined Turicum Private Bank as a T24 Business Analyst in March 2023. She was born in India and completed her Master of Computer Application in 2008 at Acharya Nagarjuna University, India. Before joining the Bank, she worked for Temenos India Pvt Ltd and HCL Systems. She is also a Silver Level certified Temenos consultant and has worked on projects for various global and central banks. She has been involved in multiple projects related to Systems Development and Life Cycle phases.

Michael CubyChief Investment Officer and Treasury Manager

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree with honours from Kings College London, Michael worked for five years in the City of London, initially as an Analyst, promoted to Head Analyst and subsequently Trader. In 2007 Michael completed his Masters in Finance from London Business School and gained FSA qualification with the Investment Managers Certificate (IMC). Michael proceeded to work for Schroders Private Bank, launching and managing the Gibraltar representative office in 2007. In 2009, Michael joined Credit Suisse Gibraltar as Senior Relationship Manager where he worked closely with management to develop and manage the Community Banking desk, receiving special accolade for executing 'One Bank' deals. In 2013, Michael joined Turicum Private Bank as Deputy CIO & Senior Relationship Manager with responsibility over the Investment Committee, Portfolio Management and Investment Advisory platform. As Treasury Manager, Michael has direct oversight and management of the Bank’s Capital and Treasury.

Bruno A. de GreysierPortfolio Manager

After completing his Bachelors degree in Banking and Finance with Honours from The Management Institute of Singapore, Bruno looked to work at Gibraltar’s ever growing Financial industry. In 2015, he joined Turicum Private Bank with a goal of focusing on the Investment Management and Banking sector. In 2018, he completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration at United International Business Schools, Zurich. Over the several years, Bruno has gained an invaluable wealth of experience from working with the various areas within the Bank including Front Office, Operations and Investment Office, and in 2019 Bruno decided to focus his career on Portfolio Management.

Malcolm WhiteSenior Portfolio Manager

After graduating in Law with French Law at University College London, Malcolm joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998. He then set up a subsidiary office in Geneva, Switzerland, for Active Value SA, an activist fund management company based in London. His functions included in-depth fundamental analysis of European companies which enabled him to subsequently join Tocqueville Finance SA, a fund manager based in Paris, France, as a European Equity Fund Manager. Upon his return to Geneva in 2008, he was appointed Lead Manager of Global Equities at Mirabaud & Cie. He later joined a multi-family office where he, inter alia, managed multi-asset portfolios and clients’ real estate companies. Prior to joining Turicum as Senior Portfolio Manager, Malcolm obtained the International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management offered by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Dr Wessel MarqueringInvestment Strategist

After graduating a master's degree with distinctions in econometrics, Wessel furthered his academic interest by becoming a PhD in financial economics with research focussing on modelling and forecasting equity and bond returns and volatility. He has academic publications on numerous topics in financial economics in a wide range of financial journals. Prior to joining Turicum Private Bank in 2023, Wessel worked as portfolio and risk manager at various Gibraltar-based investment management companies. He developed an asset allocation model that allocates to those asset classes that are expected to perform well in the various stages of the economy. He successfully passed the exams of CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager) in 2007 and 2009 respectively.

Benjamin MossChief Legal Officer & Deputy CEO

Ben joined Turicum in 2003 after successfully completing both English and French Law degrees from the Universities of Kent and Paris and a Masters in Commercial Law and Finance from the University of Nottingham. He furthered his academic interest by becoming a PhD law graduate with research focussing on financial regulatory reform and systemic risk. He is responsible for the Legal function of the Bank with a focus on strategic projects and critical issues.

Morten JensenHead of Credit & Mortgages

Morten started his banking career in the Jyske Bank group in Denmark in 2002 and after 2.5 years he moved to Gibraltar. Originally planned to stay in Gibraltar for one year but the lifestyle and weather allowing more time spent outdoors made him stay. He has 10 years of experience in various Private Banking roles. This combined with 10 years of leadership roles in Retail and Mortgage departments have created his solid foundation as Head of Credit and Mortgages in Turicum which he joined in June 2023. Morten has during his working life supported work experience with qualifications such as CeMAP (Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice) and two diplomas in Organisational Leadership and Organisation and Management.

Paul LucasRelationship Manager (Mortgage Specialist)

Paul graduated in 2013 with Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business Management from Kingston University and holds nine years of experience in Retail & Business Banking across Gibraltar International Bank and NatWest International. He has extensive experience in personal and corporate banking, with a focus on lending and also qualified as a Mortgage Advisor (CeMAP) in 2017. Paul joined Turicum Private Bank in Jan 2023 specializing in lending, offering tailored solutions to clients to meet their unique requirements. He is a skilled and experienced banking professional with a passion for providing exceptional service. His expertise in lending and in-depth knowledge of local personal and corporate banking makes him an asset to the organisation.

Thomas LavelleCredit & Mortgage Administrator

In 2003 Tom graduated from the University of Brighton with a degree in Software Engineering. He began his career with SG Hambros Private Bank where he spent 12 years working within the Operations Department amongst other roles throughout his time at the Bank. In 2015 Tom finished his employment with SG Hambros and joined Gibraltar International Bank’s Operations Department for a short while before moving onto the Credit Department as a Credit Officer where he spent the next 7 years dealing / assisting with Personal & Commercial lending whilst increasing his knowledge within the Credit field. Tom has since joined Turicum Private Bank in January 2023 where he has joined the Credit & Mortgages Department where he deals with mortgage applications, security perfection & collateral monitoring. Tom will be looking to complete his CeMAP qualification in order to further his career with the Bank.

Zanna SumskajaSecurities Manager

Zanna started her finance and banking career back in 2006 in Estonia. Before joining Turicum Private Bank in late 2022 she further developed her knowledge and experience working in various finance and banking projects in London. Zanna is focusing on consolidation and optimization of the operational processes with focus on financial sector dynamics and more transparent and report-oriented models. Zanna successfully completed various ICMA Operations Certification Programmes from University of Reading UK and is a member of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Joachim KnodtSenior Securities Officer

Joachim joined Turicum Private Bank in 2017 with over 24 years finance sector experience. He began his comprehensive career in the financial hub of Frankfurt covering various roles at multiple institutions. After completing his business studies at VWA Koblenz (Germany), Joachim was recruited by Flemings (Frankfurt) in 1993. He later joined Commerzbank in 1996 where he expanded his experience in Securities Operations. In 1999 Joachim relocated to Gibraltar to work in the fast-growing fund industry, taking up operational roles within Investment Fund Management and Banking. As a keen traveller, he has journeyed around the world backpacking.

Belen MaginnisSenior Securities Officer

Belen joined Turicum Private Bank in 1998, having previously worked at ABN Amro where she accumulated eight years of experience working in various areas including both retail and private banking. She has been the longest standing member of the Middle Office team and her experience assists in the smooth and effective operation of the Department.

Cristel MacanoJunior Securities Officer

Cristel recently joined Turicum to start a new career within the securities department as Junior Securities Officer. She came from Gibraltar International Bank where she was a fraud management officer. Her duties entailed liasing with clients for verification purposes, creating new procedures, reviewing high value transactions and monitoring any daily fraud concerns.

Tamara GustavinoTreasury Cash Manager

Tamara began working at Turicum Private Bank in 2003. Initially Tamara was an Administration Officer in the Back Office Department, responsible for the performance of daily administrative duties including the execution of SWIFT transfers and payment orders. Tamara steadily progressed within the Bank and since 2014 she has taken on the responsibility of managing the Back Office Department ensuring that all banking and administrative functions are performed effectively, efficiently and are service driven. Tamara is always keen on furthering her professional development; she is currently certified in Business Studies (Open University) and holds the AAT qualification.

Ana OlivaresSenior Treasury Officer

Ana started to work for Turicum in the Spring of 2015 with over 10 years working experience in Gibraltar's active banking sector. Following her education, Ana began her career at Barclays Bank at the Cashier Desk and worked her way through the several of the bank's departments including back office and operational units. She has excelled in client facing roles and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Ana's diligence and enthusiasm earned her particular high level of responsibility with respect to branch operations and she provided maternity cover for her Branch's Deputy Head. Ana has experience in creating and implementing internal training programs. Ana is an integral part of Turicum's operation back office.

Lucio GrecoSenior Administration Officer

Lucio graduated with a BA (Hons) degree for International Business and Modern Languages at London South Bank University. He joined Turicum Private Bank in 2021 bringing to the team a wealth of experience in Banking having worked at Lloyds Bank since 2001, both in Gibraltar and the UK. During that time Lucio covered various roles and in the recent past he held the position of Senior Premier Relationship Manager. Lucio has always been focussed on his personal development; he has completed the International Compliance Association’s “Certificate in Compliance”, the Insurance Institute’s “Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning” as well as the CISI’s “Investment Operations Certificate”.

Stella BartonJunior Treasury Officer

Stella initially joined the Bank in 2022 on a temporary basis. Her maturity and sense of responsibility within the role together with her willingness to take on any new challenges were evident from the outset and Stella quickly became a valued and permanent employee of the Bank. Prior to joining Turicum, Stella worked in the care industry supporting individuals with disabilities, demonstrating her attributes of empathy, hardworking and determinism. At Turicum, she is working with the Bank’s Treasury and Foreign Exchange counterparts and has already taken on responsibilities beyond expectations. She is a team player who has instantly captured the Bank’s principles and seamlessly integrated into the Treasury department.

Marzia ManconiHead of Compliance, Risk and Ethics

Marzia joined the Compliance Team at Turicum Private Bank in January 2018. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a post-graduate degree in International Relations from the University of Pavia, in Italy, she then moved to the UK where she successfully completed an LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights at the University of Warwick. Marzia spent the first few years after university working in the non-profit sector in London, covering different roles including executive support to the senior management team, change management programmes, internal communications and staff engagement. Since moving to Gibraltar in 2016, Marzia has worked in Compliance roles in the Financial Services and Banking sector. In June 2017 she completed the International Compliance Association (ICA) Anti Money Laundering Certificate and in September 2020 she completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) International Certificate in Investments and Wealth Management. She has also been attending a range of training courses with the UK Chartered Banker Institute and the UK Institute of Risk Management (IRM). After becoming Legal and Risk Manager in 2020, Marzia was then promoted to Head of Compliance, Risk and Ethics in 2023.

Aidan WornallCompliance Officer

Aidan joined Turicum Private Bank in June 2021. After achieving a Diploma in Geography from the University of St. Mary’s, Twickenham, Aidan returned to Gibraltar to begin his professional career. Aidan started his career in the Insurance sector and had become a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute as well as completing numerous workshops and courses via the University of Gibraltar. Aidan had then shifted his focus from Insurance to Compliance within the Financial Sector. Aidan has over 4 years’ experience across several Compliance positions at various Financial Institutions and in July 2021 Aidan obtained an ICA International Advanced Certificate in AML.

Elizabeth RoncoCompliance Analyst

Elizabeth joined the Bank at the start of 2019. She joined with several years of experience gained in the growing financial sector, having spent time at both insurance and financial services companies in Gibraltar. After recently achieving the ICA Certificate in Compliance, Elizabeth has been assisting the Compliance Department of the Bank with the day to day monitoring and related functions. Elizabeth aims to keep working to further develop her knowledge and understanding of the compliance field and enhance the relevant skills to perform successfully in the financial sector. To this end, she is currently studying a range of banking related topics through the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Colette BonfiglioCompliance Analyst

Colette joined Turicum in April 2021 as a Compliance Analyst, with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector gained through a long, successful and uninterrupted career. In 1989 she began working in banking with ABN AMRO Bank (Gibraltar) Ltd and later, following an acquisition in 2008, with SG Hambros Bank (Gibraltar) Ltd. During this time she has developed strong interpersonal skills working in Banking Operations as well as enjoying Commercial and Compliance roles. At Turicum Colette supports the Compliance team in their daily tasks and as part of the Front Office Support team, she works closely with the Relationship Managers in Compliance related matters.

Susana Velasco SanchezRisk Officer

Susana joined the Compliance Team at Turicum Private Bank in February 2014. Having graduated from Tourism studies in 2001, in Spain, she started working across different sectors, gaining a diverse professional background. This ranges from Compliance, to Administration, to Tourism to Technical Support. Since joining the Bank, she has actively worked to enhance her knowledge in the field through several seminars, courses and certificates. Following several promotions, Susana has gained significant exposure to both strategic and day-to-day Risk and Compliance matters. Working together with the Head of Compliance, Risk and Ethics, she is now focussing on enhancing the Bank’s Risk Management approach.

Petra MikaRisk, Compliance and Ethics Administrator

Petra joined the Compliance Team at Turicum Private Bank in 2023 as a Compliance, Risk and Ethics Administrator. She has developed extensive experience of working in Fraud, Compliance and Risk across a number of sectors including gaming, crypto exchange and financial services with specific focus on banking. Petra has been enhancing her knowledge and experience with additional studies and, in 2023, she became a Certified Fraud Examiner as a member of the Association of the Certified Fraud Examiners. Petra’s main areas of interest include Fraud and Compliance risk in the crypto world, and Financial Crime investigation.

Marina Dominguez SteglichInternal Auditor

Marina holds a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Madrid and a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Würzburg, Germany. After working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Nottingham, Marina’s career took a significant turn when she relocated to Gibraltar and joined Credit Suisse in 1997 in the HR and Financial Control department. Moving to Lloyds Private Banking in 2001 as a Relationship Manager, Marina steadily progressed within the company over a 12-year period, becoming the Gibraltar Branch Manager in 2009. In 2013 Marina returned to Credit Suisse as COO and Head of Business Risk Management. In 2017 Marina joined STM Group Plc, an international financial services provider, as Group Head of Enterprise Risk Management with responsibility for risk management across all subsidiaries. Marina returned to banking in 2020, joining Turicum as the bank’s Internal Auditor. Marina brings to her role a wealth of experience in private banking coupled with her focus on risk management. Marina is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds the Chartered Institute of Bankers Certificate for Financial Advisers. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and of the Institute of Risk Management.

Dimitri AdamChief Financial Officer

Dimitri joined Turicum Private Bank in 2015 with over 13 years of accounting experience from varied sectors. In 2001 Dimitri completed his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in France. Subsequently Dimitri began his career providing management accounting to Parisian companies before expanding his experience and knowledge to the Insurance sector in the City of London. In 2007, Dimitri, in search of new challenges moved his career to Gibraltar’s growing and vibrant Online Gaming industry. To further his studies, Dimitri has achieved the UK ACCA qualification and became a fully qualified accountant in 2016. His keen interest in IT and new technology has helped him implement technologically efficient processes at the Bank.

Stefan FedericoManagement Accountant

Stefan joined Turicum Private Bank in 2022 with over 10 years of accounting experience from varied sectors. In 2011, Stefan achieved full membership in The Association of Accounting Technicians after completing Level 4 NVQ in Accounting. Stefan began his career in accounting in the fast-paced construction industry, working his way up from Finance Assistant to being the Firm’s Accounting Lead. In 2021, Stefan became a fully qualified Accountant having completed the ACCA qualification.

Sharon RamirezSenior Finance Officer

Sharon joined Turicum in August 2017 with 20 years’ experience at the forefront of the Gibraltar banking sector. She has worked at various departments within banking operations including back office and operations development. Sharon was instrumental in specific projects particularly those concerned with implementation and improvement of new banking systems, excelling at every opportunity. For over 10 years, Sharon was an integral part of the Finance department at Credit Suisse Gibraltar, working directly under the Financial Manager. She held responsibility for the Bank’s revenue generation processes whilst providing support in all areas of financial administration.

Frances PrendergastFinance Officer

Frances joined Turicum Private Bank in May 2022. She is AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified after passing Level 4 in November 2021. Frances began her finance career in the Insurance sector where she was a finance assistant for nearly four years. During this time she studied towards her AAT qualification.

Inma SanderHR Manager

Inma has gained vast experience working in business supporting roles within Gibraltar's financial sector. Previous roles include eleven years at Credit Suisse (Gibraltar) Limited where she held positions as Personal Assistant to Senior Management and within the Human Resource Department through periods of high growth and transition. In 2004 Inma joined Turicum Private Bank and heads our Human Resource department, she is also the Bank's Company Secretary.

Jane SollisSenior HR Officer

Jane started her career in Gibraltar as Human Resources Manager for a large retail outlet. She then moved into the Finance sector and gained over 20 years’ experience working mainly for the Newcastle Building Society where she was a CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualified Mortgage Advisor helping to grow and manage the society’s mortgage book in Gibraltar. She also spent time as an Independent Financial Advisor at the same time gaining her Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificates in Financial Services. Jane joined Turicum Private Bank in 2018 taking up the role of Human Resources Officer.

Zoe FrendoCompany Secretary & Data Protection Officer

Zoe has developed her career in the finance industry in Gibraltar over the last 20 years. On completion of her GNVQ in Advanced Business and Finance in 1998, Zoe joined the banking industry as a Customer Advisor with Newcastle Building Society. On obtaining her CeMAP (Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice) in 2005, she moved to Leeds Building Society as a Mortgage Advisor and was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2006. During the summer of 2008, Zoe took on the role of Operations Manager for the mutual building society and gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of operational functions. Subsequently, the bank’s Board appointed her as MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) for the Gibraltar Branch. Zoe joined Turicum in January 2019 as a Compliance Analyst and was promoted to Head of Credit in August following the development of the Credit department in the Bank and in January 2023 took over as Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer.

Paul BarkerChief Technology Officer

Paul joined Turicum Private Bank in 2014. He started his career 13 years ago, supporting multi national companies such as Goodyear and Caterpillar in the UK. He has gained accreditations from Cisco, Citrix, and as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. After 9 Years in the Gaming Industry in Gibraltar working in Infrastructure and Systems Engineering roles, he takes up the role of IT Manager with Turicum driving the Banks Information Technology strategy forward whilst maintaining the highest security standards.

Craig HenwoodSenior Systems Analyst

Craig graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Communications Technology from the University of Glamorgan. Craig spent 6 years at Kleinwort Hambros Private Bank. During this time Craig worked in the Projects Team, assisting all departments with the Bank’s Client Relationship Management system and Online Banking. Craig played a vital role in managing and collating data for several projects including Data Migration and Tax Reporting, where he worked closely with KH entities in London and the Channel Islands. Craig joined Turicum Private Bank in 2017. As a Systems Analyst Craig brings his skills and experience to provide support on the Banking System, Online Banking and any IT related Projects.

Lai Quen LiuSenior Application Engineer

Lai Quen Liu has joined Turicum Private Bank in 2018 with an extensive IT experience. He had worked over 14 years as the IT Administrator and Developer at Jyske Bank in Gibraltar, maintaining their IT platform, developing their system and providing technical support. Amongst other languages, Lai Quen is proficient in SQL and adds value through his creative ad-hoc programs. At Turicum, Lai Quen has been tasked with data mining and reporting, optimising Turicum’s bespoke banking platform and providing general IT support.

Robert RowanHead of IT Infrastructure

Robert graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Plymouth in 2008. Subsequently he made his way to Gibraltar to join the fast-growing, technology-led Online Gaming sector. He started his career providing support services to local businesses before moving into the online gaming elite such as Bwin & Ladbrokes, He has gained various accreditations from the industry leaders including Cisco, VMware, EMC, ITIL, CompTIA and the Linux Foundation. In February 2018 Robert joined Turicum as an Infrastructure Engineer. He works to support and continually improve Turicum’s servers, networks, virtualization and applications while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability and performance of systems and services.

Boris LewisSenior IT Officer

Boris joined Turicum Private Bank in June 2019. He started his career at ITMS Ltd, spending 6 years providing IT support and solutions to both private and public sector clients. During this time, he has acquired a wealth of experience in most aspects of IT and has managed and delivered projects for high-profile clients. He has gained accreditations from Microsoft, 3CX and ITIL. After being briefly contracted with Turicum to implement a Windows upgrade solution, Boris has taken up the role of IT Support Officer, monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks.

Suresh NelakurthiHead of Development

Suresh joined the bank’s fast growing IT department in 2020. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and development experience particularly in the area of banking systems. Born in India, Suresh completed his Masters degree in Computer Applications in 2008, from the renowned University of Madras. Soon after graduation he joined Temenos India as a Technical Consultant in their T24 core banking customizations stream. During this time, he achieved Gold standard level in Temenos Certified Consultant program. Following Temenos, Suresh spent time at multinational corporations such as Capgemini India and Wipro Technologies playing key roles in upgrade, implementation and supportive functions, generally as the single point of contact for clients.

Maria AlizadehReceptionist/FOS Administration

Maria joined Turicum Private Bank in April 2011. She previously worked as a Receptionist both at Regal House and the Main Street Branch of Barclays in Gibraltar. After leaving Air Europe as Cabin Crew, Maria gained her Receptionist experience in London, working for companies in the City which included Morgan Brown and Spofforth Chartered Accountants, Withers Worldwide Solicitors and New Square Chambers in Lincolns Inn.

Graham LavelleMessenger

Graham joined Turicum Private Bank in November 2013 as Messenger and also assists in covering as Security Officer for the Bank. Graham relocated to Gibraltar in 1978 after having worked for a number of years in the Hospitality sector at The Houses of Parliament, London. He continued his career in the Hospitality and Catering industry as a Chef at the Montarik Hotel in Main Street and later also as Chef at the Country Cottage restaurant. In 1982 he changed direction and moved into a new career in Law enforcement for almost 30 years in the Ministry of Defence Police where he attained the rank of Sergeant. Graham was attached to the Royal Gibraltar Police where he carried out specialized duties in both the Criminal Investigation Department and Drug Squad. Graham took early retirement from the force in April 2012 to devote more of his time to his family.

Natalie AlizadehReceptionist/FOS Administration

After completing her education at Westside School Natalie attended Gibraltar College and attained her Administration and IT studies. Upon leaving college she gained first working experience at Little Harvard Nursery as a Nursery Assistant. In May 2022 Natalie joined Turicum working in Reception/Front Office Support carrying out reception duties and supporting Front Office Compliance. Natalie is fluent in Spanish and English.
