Inside Turicum: Cristel Macano recognised as a CISI 2026 global award winner Cristel Macano, Securities Officer at Turicum Private Bank, has been recognised as one of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s (CISI) 2026 global award winners for her performance in the Level 2 Fundamentals of Financial Services qualification. As part of its feature on global award winners, the CISI invited Cristel to share her experience of professional development and how disciplined study can translate into practical knowledge in the workplace. In her role at Turicum, Cristel works across a range of securities operations activities, including reconciliations, trade monitoring, corporate actions and securities transfers. Reflecting on the qualification, she explained that it both reinforced knowledge relevant to her day-to-day responsibilities and introduced new concepts that have broadened her understanding. “This award has given me confidence that I am on the right path professionally, and the qualification has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge that directly relates to my current role.” Cristel also highlighted the challenge of combining study with a full-time role. A structured timetable, consistent study and finding the learning methods that worked best for her were important parts of the process. Turicum supported Cristel in undertaking the qualification, reflecting our wider commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Across the Bank, colleagues continue to develop their knowledge and skills through professional qualifications, training and structured learning relevant to their roles. We congratulate Cristel on her achievement and are pleased to see her commitment and performance recognised by the CISI.
